Boyscout Killers ( BSK ) is an electronic quartet based in Ottawa/Montreal. In association with Place Records, BSK  has had an active role in promoting and showcasing electronic producers in Ottawa. As a group, BSK performs in different combinations but whenever possible as a quartet. Shaped by each member’s own distinctive style, their improvised sets range from industrial IDM to Psychedelic Electro.

Place is proud to offer audio streams of the latest recorded works by Gatineau / Montreal based quartet Boyscout Killers, titled Esquire Squares and Essential in Era, respectively. The matched pair of releases represent both an encapsulation of their current sonic palette as well as a jumping off point towards future experiments in sound. The two albums offer up some of the most imaginative and dynamic music that the Place collective has thus far produced, please check them out : good headphones / stereo system highly recommended.

Esquire Squares and Essential in Era have been self released on CD by BSK, and are available at their shows. Details regarding a lossless (CD quality) digital release are coming soon.

For a chance to experience the other side of Boyscout Killers, come out this Tuesday February 16th for another fun filled edition of the monthly ‘Faux Mardis’ at Le Petit Chicago in Gatineau, this time featuring Place Records’ own pH, Boyscout Killers and .:Obsidian:., accompanied by visuals courtesy of the Place Machine team. If you’re in Ottawa its just over the bridge near Lebreton Flats -you can walk from Parliament in under 20 minutes! Things kick off around 9 and will go late.
